My latest swap, fun in the sun, Cricut

As I mentioned before, I am new to this swap thing... but so far I am loving it, and am pretty well hooked!
The swap group I have joined is called Paper Crafting Diva's and is organized by a sweet person who takes a lot of time to make these swaps happen... you can see her blog here... http://marie97-lotlot.blogspot.com/
This swap was for  4 sets of Cricut cut images that can be used for cards. They had to be embellished in a minimum of two ways, and a sentiment needed to be included .
This was a great reason to get more familiar with my Cricut. I really have wanted to use this cool cutting machine more often, and this was a perfect opportunity to do so. I really had a lot of fun with this! Take a look at what I came up with, and the card I made from the cut outs...

embellished with glitter glue polka dots

Also dotted the sun with glitter glue, and added glitter cheeks to the crab :-)

And this is the card I made with the same cut-outs. I just used a plain white card, and  colored the back ground with pastels... (I am hooked on pastels :-)

Makes me want to go out and play!!

My new stamps, especially for teachers

My kids always love getting stickers and stamps on the work I return to them. They always get a kick out of the smiley faces :-) I never really thought they meant that much to them until I stopped putting them on their work. It did not take long for them to bring the papers back to me and ask for a sticker or smiley face, it really made them feel good! So, these stamps are just for them, and you (they are listed in my shop) :-)

A few new hand carved rubber stamp designs

I was searching through one of those royalty free web sites for some inspiration and found this really cool eye... I thought it had the potential to be a lot of fun. I was watching a wedding planner show a couple of weeks ago through netflix and one of the reception table scape's shown used these really cool plates with a single eye in the center of it, it was really a fun plate! Made me want a single eye :-)
So, here is my version of the single eye as a rubber stamp.
Be sure to visit my etsy shop, link is on your right.

This stamp is so cool to me... the iris can be inked in all different colors!!

Here are a few other new stamps

Got the bouquet done :-)

I guess the few years I worked at a florist has paid off! I remember many long nights wiring pics and roses for weddings the next day. Although it has been several (wont say how many :-) years since I worked on a wedding, all of the skills came back! My hands worked like they never took a break. Believe it or not, it took  time to learn how to wrap wires while pulling and wrapping  florist tape at the same time, but I still have it down :-)

These flowers are for my "adopted" daughter's wedding. She did not want to do fresh flowers for a couple of reasons, one was the expense, and another was she wanted something she could save. The wedding is going to be small, only one brides maid, so I only have to make 3 bouquets.

This is the bridal bouquet

This is the brides maids

This is the bouquet she will throw to the single ladies :-)
(I kept this one small)

These are the boutonnieres

She is getting married at this adorable little chapel! Now that I have this portion of the flowers done it is time to start thinking about decorating the chapel!! We are doing a rustic/country theme... my mind is running with ideas!!

Another Exciting Custom

Just finished another custom order!! So, I get a request from the owners of a really cool new restaurant that just opened in California. Here is a link to their web site
http://www.goodlandkitchen.com/
They requested  a 5" wide stamp of their logo to stamp their bags with. That is a pretty large stamp, and it turned out great! :-)))

I printed the logo in black and white, for carving purposes, you can see the original logo in the second to last picture...  I am soooo happy with the results!! The stamp is almost identical to the original logo!!

I love this custom hand carved stamp!!

I just finished another custom ordered stamp. I had a lot of fun carving this one! Probably because the buyer has the cutest idea for the stamp. The buyer has a daughter who is getting married and will be acquiring the last name of Beam. They are using the theme of mason jars and fireflies and saw my mason jar firefly listing I have in my shop. They are making their invitations and other embellishments and asked me to carve the jar larger and carve the last name Beam into it just like "Ball" is on the mason jars. I loved the idea! How cute is that... Beam and fireflies, I love it :-) So here is the stamp... I think it is sooo cute :-) I hope I get to see their finished projects...

Custom hand carved rubber stamps 4" !!

I received an order from an adorable fellow etsy seller, she requested three 4" stamps of images I have for sale in my shop. The stamps are HUGE and absolutely adorable! My mind is reeling with possibilities for projects using these stamps :-) I can see some adorable cards being made with these, maybe with the words sweet, or sweetie, or you are sweet, or something to that effect :-) The lemon slice is stamped in green just to be sure the pictures turned out, but it can also be a lime slice!
