After 6 months serving our country my husband is HOME!!!!!

I have not posted in a while, I have been sooooo busy preparing for the return of my husband!!! YIIIIPPPEEEEEE !! It is hard to describe the emotions and gratefulness of his return. Tears flowed as my son ran up to his daddy and just hung on!!

The way a military member returns home is somewhat secretive and the family is never really sure what the day will be. There are always changes and unexpected glitches. So, it is always best not to say anything to children about times and dates until they are in the USA... and even then delays can happen. My heart was beating fast for over a week now, knowing the time was coming. Did not sleep much, I never let myself feel as though he was safe until I actually saw his face. Once I did though, tears of relief were shed! I am soooo glad he made it home!!!!

  1. So happy for you...having been through 5 deployments (most well over 6 months each) I know what you mean by the secretive return & needing to see their face to relax. So glad for you and your family. Celebrate!

  2. Thank you! It was a long 6 months and things are so crazy in this world right now. I just kept my focus on the Lord and prayed, and prayed! Wow! 5 deployments is a LOT, I know how hard that is/was. Thanks for your words of encouragement :-)

  3. I know this is a little late, but yay for having your man home! I just ordered the lemon stamp from you on Etsy to use for my wedding invitations, my fiance is in the Marine Corp. I have to say I am now even more excited about having ordered from you and being able to support another military family in a small way! =)

  4. Laura,
Thank you! You stamp has been mailed off today :-)I would love to see pictures of your invitation, I love to see how others use my stamps :-)
Marring a military man is quite the adventure! It is well worth the journey though when you are in love. I too like to support military families.... thanks :-)
I have a genuine compassion for spouses of deployed men (and women) so if you need moral support at any time write me a little note, I will be sure to help you get through.
